Processing and Inversion of Gravity Anomalies to Explore Manganese Deposits in Maku, Iran

I conducted a full-cycle geophysical exploration study using gravity data to identify potential manganese mineralization zones in northwestern Iran. The project involved:

  • Designing and optimizing a gravity survey grid in the Maku region.

  • Conducting field data acquisition over 600+ gravity stations using a Scintrex CG-3 gravimeter.

  • Applying terrain corrections, Bouguer anomaly processing, and geophysical filtering using Geosoft Oasis Montaj.

  • Interpreting gravity anomalies using Euler Deconvolution and Analytic Signal Methods.

  • Creating 3D subsurface density models using UBC-Grav3D and Modelvision to delineate manganese-rich zones.

  • Recommending four priority drilling targets based on integrated anomaly trends and model geometry.
